Jozani Forest is part of the “Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park”: an important nature reserve and ecosystem on the island.

The tropical rain forest with its lush vegetation is an attraction itself. Thishigh, dense, ground water forest is famous for being home to the red colobus monkey, a rare species only found in Zanzibar. Our guide will show you small colonies of these unusual primates. Other animals that may be seen here include Blue Sykes monkeys, elephant shrews and bush babies. Finally, this tour also includes a walk through a mangrove forest.
